Timber formwork is the most common type of formwork applied in both large and small construction projects in Hong Kong owing to several of the key advantages as compared to metal formwork: (i) relatively cost effective in usual situation; (ii) light weight facilitating transportation and can be carried by hand; and (iii) the ease to erect into different shapes as timber panel can be cut fast with hand-held tools in-situ.
